The loud, awkward relative from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Known for his goofy personality and questionable manners, Cousin Eddie is a hilarious and creative part of the Christmas Express.

instructions:
Cousin Eddie is a fun and creative position. Why? Because as Cousin Eddie, you are one of the only cast members who gets to be totally creative and make the scene entirely your own. As Cousin Eddie, all you need to do is be a little silly and have fun. Cousin Eddie is an awkward, overconfident, clueless, and sort of unwelcome relative who has some interesting interpretations of social norms.
You should stand around and act completely comfortable in your bath robe, as if people wore bathrobes in public all the time! You can wave over-enthusiasticly at the train as it passes by. You can hold your mug (there will be one at the scene for you) and wander around like you own the place. You can give over-enthusiastic thumbs up or finger guns to the passengers on the train. The key is that Eddie shouldn't act like he's trying to be funny. He genuinely thinks everything he says and does is normal.
Don't let this creative liberty scare you; there are plenty of pre-blocked things you can choose to do. Watch the video to see a few examples.
When the train arrives at your scene, all you have to do is act out your scene. The train does not stop, it will simply continue driving on at a slow pace, giving the guests onboard just enough time to have a laugh.
what to wear:
You should come dressed in warm clothes, prepared to be outdoors for the entirety of the night. Warm pants, closed-toe shoes, a coat, etc.
Cousin Eddie's costume consists of a single robe and a fuzzy winter hat.
When to arrive:
You should arrive at the ranch by 4:30pm
You must be in position at your scene by 5:05pm
GUIDELINES:
As mentioned above, you are allowed some creative liberties with this position. We want you to have fun. However, there are some guidelines.
1. The MOST IMPORTANT, #1 rule you need to know: DO NOT GO NEAR THE TRAIN. Do NOT climb on the train, do NOT hold onto the train, do NOT walk directly beside or behind the train. You are required to stay AT LEAST 20 FEET away from the train AT ALL TIMES.
If you violate any of the train rules, you will be sent home and will not be allowed back, period. The train is a ginormous and dangerous machine. Don't risk getting hurt, it's not worth it.
2. No inappropriate actions, hand signals, or dances are allowed.
Don't do anything dangerous, like jumping off the motorhome or intentionally hurting yourself.
3. Don't move the objects in the scene. If you have an idea and want additional props, run it by Alivia (702)672-1048 first.
4. Don't join in any other scenes. As silly as it sounds, you might be tempted to jump in on another scene when the train is there. You might want to "just once" hide in the background or pretend to blend in at another scene. My advice--Don't! Stick to your scene when the train is around. You're there for a reason, so have fun with your own job! If you jump into another scene while the train is there, you will mess up the experience for those on the train.
5. Be AT YOUR SCENE when you see a train turning the corner so you can be IN POSITION when the train arrives at the scene before yours.
